We designed the Garden Daybed because many of our family and friends who don’t live on the water wanted to be able to have the catamaran trampoline experience in their own backyard. The Garden BreezeBed kit gives you everything you need to assemble & build the BreezeBed including the net (constructed identically to what we make for sailing catamarans & resorts around the world for extreme comfort & durability), TojaGrid corner bracing, stainless hardware, & Dyneema lacing line. Because we have been able to perfect our net building & material selection over our 40 years manufacturing netting for sailing catamarans we are comfortably able to warranty the nets, hardware, & lacing line for 5 years…even if you put the BreezeBed directly under the tropical sun on the equator (if you do, please send pics!). Maintenance is easy as the material easily cleans.
Completing this build at home is easy. We will send you a how-to DIY video showing you start to finish how to build this in your own backyard. Standard home tools are all you need to quickly finish this project. If you would like to add the Shou Sugi Ban (burned) look you can use a hand torch or weedburner. You should expect it to take a total of about 3 manhours to complete.
Having used this myself for years I can say that this is my favorite way to enjoy my own backyard. The open mesh is breathable so it is comfortable on hot days (no more sweaty back!) for enjoying some sun or in the evening after work for watching birds head home to their beds and then to watch the stars come out. If you have chaise lounges I would wager that they will quickly become lonely as you learn how nice it is to lay down in your backyard and spread out on a queen bed size surface.
